If you're like me and prefer the smooth coated beckers over the sandpaper finish they use now, you may want to check out a certain group buy website. Sounds like "ass mop."

And if you didn't know, the few times "ass mop" has put up some beckers they all seem to be smooth coated. So maybe keep an eye out for the future.
 
My guess is they are using old photos and that they are selling the current configuration. They don't buy from us directly so who knows, maybe they found a small lot of smooth coats somewhere. Years ago we sold some smooth coats to them but it was just enough to fill the orders. If you are only buying because of the smooth coat I would send them a message to double check on that.

Wow thats odd I thought they just special ordered them from you guys. I do hope they really are selling the old ones and not just using old photos.

There listing does clearly say "This drop is for the discontinued smooth finish blades, they have been replaced with the newer crinkle finish."

they are also including the option of micarta scales at a reasonable price.
 
I've got a few things there. Usually their prices are close to the Zahn but you have to wait weeks instead of days.
Occasionally there's the rare or close out item that makes it a good deal.
I wish I woulda bought a pile of 15's when they had them.
They claimed to be the stamped smooth coat and indeed they were.

Ethan was telling me today that after the Moses bowie sells out, since he's sold the property, he's moving to OR ASAP and is taking his knife designs with him... good bye KaBar...
