NO-E Vacations In Arizona!

It never stops amazing me just how generous and helpful my fellow Hogs (male and female!) can be and are! Not too long ago I mentioned that I would like to try out an NO-E, as I own a BM-E and have become a huge fan of the ergo handles. Well, to my rescue came Heavy, who generously sent his NO-E for a short vacation in Arizona!

I was immediately impressed with this knife. One of the frustrations about maintaining my yard is the sumac, a smelly, weedy, treelike parasite that will take over and suck water from everything else. Generally I use my BM-E to keep it in check. But this time I used the NO-E, and was I shocked!

Chops like a much larger blade, and made short work with less effort of this pesky stuff! So after that, I took the NO-E sightseeing. Here is Payson’s memorial to our wild fire heroes:

And the NO-E:

A quick trip out to Shoofly ruins and a pic of the NO-E on a wall fragment:

Just a brief vacation, but I have to admit that I will be looking for an NO-E as soon as the money fairy smiles upon me again…this is an exceptionally designed and executed Busse, and proof that good things come in smaller packages! Thanks, Heavy, your baby will be heading home tomorrow! Stay safe!

Thanks for the pics. Agree on the Sumac....we actually always referred to them as 'stink weeds'. Those suckers can grow into full blown trees too.

Hmm. I didn't realize it, but it looks like Arizona could be 'home territory' for the NO. :D

Very glad you had fun with her and I was very happy to help out.

Thanks for the pics!

You are the best, brother Hog! I sure loved having your NO-E around for awhile! :D

I agree with the good nature of the Hogs. I missed a for sale Scotch dispenser (in a non black color) a while back, and the one who bought it offered to send it my just to see how I liked the fit to hand of the scotch dispenser.

Great pic of the NO-E stuck tip first in the wall fragment. Did the wall survive? ;)

Yeah, at least in part for about 800-1100 years! :D And that is in spite of college archaeology student projects! The NO-E is certainly one tough blade, though. And for its size...awesome...it has me thinking about doing things with my Hell Razor I haven't tried yet! :D:eek:
