No half stop on bottle opener

Hello all,

I'm wondering why my Victorinox recruit does not have a half stop (that makes a 90 degree angle) on the bottle opener. I note that my spartan and other 91 mm SAKs have this, and even my Vic waiter combo tool can click to this position. Not so for the recruit.

Is this a manufacturing fluke? bad purchase? model idiosyncrasy? a sign that the space alien overlords who want our women have arrived?

Thanks Bartleby - if I'm not mistaken, the Vic waiter is an 84 mm model, yet this has a half stop, at least the combo tool has one. Is it different for the 2 layer model, or maybe the combo tool? Thanks.

This is correct, its' a different tool - the combo tool has a half-stop in 84, 91 and even 111mm models - but the regular screwdriver/bottlecap lifter doesn't for 84mm models.
