Here's a little before & after of my Buck 110. I really didn't like the slightly upswept clip point bowie style tip and I really DO like spear point...

Sorry for the crappy pics, but that's what I get for using the camera phone in the shade on a piece of teal colored paper!

I like it. I've never been a fan of clip points; never saw the point of 'em! (Sorry...)

Thanks, I actually thought there would be more people responding to it as I've heard a lotta people say they don't like or "trust" clip points (myself included).

I like the 110 clip point myself but you did a great job on that mod. There are times a stronger tip is a good idea.

Thanks! I'm not a huge fan of them in general, but Buck does have a heck of a knife with a pretty good tip on it. I don't do any field-dressing or skinning, and I am a fan of spear-points so.....day off work, OHT with serrations already removed and clipped, machete already reground, and plenty of juice left on the Dremel's battery...."Lightbulb!"

I like the look of that new tip! Much more robust.

If it's a personal preference I can see modding it but have had the same Buck 110 since I was a young nitwit(bought approx. 15 years ago) and have stabbed, dropped from a height, and generally abused the knife and the tip is shaped the same as the day I got it.

Ha Ha! Funny.

Looks good Screw. However, the 110 clip is an iconic design...

You layed a great angle on her though. Enjoy
