Just wondering if anyone else is missing the icons for inserting pictures? I can still post pictures by manually typing
and pasting the image code in between. But the options for doing it the easy way seem to be missing from above the postbox. Here's a screen shot

I've checked on both my computer and my IPad and they appear to be missing on both. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing? or is this something wrong on my end?

No problems here. This wouldn't explain why it happened on different forums for you but would explain why it happens across browsers: try going to Settings (top right) -> My Account / General Settings (left column) -> Miscellaneous Options / Message Editor Interface

To see all the formatting/inserting options, make sure it's set to the radio button for "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing" rather than the other two.

Thanks for the tip.Just switched it over to "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG" But I'm still having the same problem. (Sad face)I haven't changed any settings or options in my profile or my computer lately. I tried to post a picture in EDC thread today and noticed that the options were missing. Just checked a few other forums and it seems to be only happening here.

Googled around a bit because I should be doing work and trying to figure this puts it off :p

Anyway, saw this https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php/396991-WYSISYG-Editor-not-displaying

That's really about background settings only available to the forum maintainer, but what I notice is in the post that helped him:

AdminCP > Settings > Options > Style & Language settings > Mobile style

Make sure this is not set to your master default style, or any style that is not actually a mobile style.

That made me think, "Hey, maybe vbulletin doesn't allow the full editor when it detects a mobile browser." I noticed your screenshot shows you are using an ipad. I booted up a mobile device and used Opera Mobile to pull up bladeforums and tried to make a new thread. Sure enough, it looks just like your screenshot--no full editor, just the boxes and smileys. I tried Dolphin mobile browser, and the same thing occurs.

That doesn't entirely answer what's going on, considering you say it only happens on BF (it does happen on other *vbulletin* forums in particular, yes?). If that was not the case, I'd say it's vbulletin detecting a mobile browser and forcing settings based on that. Since that's not the case, as the link above shows it does have some settings based on what it detects, I wonder if some setting here in particular forces that editor. Maybe Spark can shed some light on that when he's feeling better. At least this narrows it down some (hopefully).

Thanks for looking into it and trying to help a brother out.

Yes it only happened on BF. I check three other sites.
I noticed it on the iPad first. So I jumped onto my laptop thinking that it might have had something to do with the iPad being a mobile device. But while trying to post a thread with the laptop the same icons were missing.

I got tired of trying to troubleshoot it and buggered off for a bit to watch a movie with the old lady.
If your into movies at all, check out Lawless. Great movie.

Anyhow,
I thought I'd pop in before bed, and everything seems to be working fine again.

Again I haven't changed any options or settings.

Weird huh?

That is weird. Glad it's resolved.
