Received September issue of Blade magazine today and was disappointed that the Izula was not even mentioned in their article about neck knives!

In all seriousness, the info that comes out in the forums are always far more timely than what comes out in the mags. I also understand that the mags are driven by many political and economic (who is advertising in them at the time) factors. You have to take their lists and comparison articles with a grain of salt.

Then again, the trade off is you usually get exposed to some pretty good writing (not always the case on the forums), nice pictures and an interview style with the makers that one doesn't encounter in these parts. So I think a combination of the two sources isn't such a bad thing.....For me personally, I always find going to the tactical weapon/knives mag section in the Barnes and Noble a little akin to hanging in the nudy mag section.....But that is my own hang up...

That's no excuse though, they knew about the Izula and they just dropped the ball, IMO. Tactical Knives magazine is always faster on getting new product into print than Blade. I think they are also a lot more in-depth on the product also. I do know that TK writers actually put the stuff to the test....but, then again, maybe Reuben and I are biased because we write for TK :D

I kinda shy away from Blade mag . I prefer the other knife mags out there TK & Knives something or nother...lol

But they're catching up. I hear there is suppose to be an article coming out on the Izula. I like Blade, good magazine and good people, but there focus is somewhat different than TK and TK fits us better.

Seems to me that Blade is more geared toward knife makers whereas TK is aimed at users, LIKE US.
