Am I the only piglet that's NOT crazy for the ASH-1?
I picked up the 2007 SE at Blade, and traded it away, it just didn't do anything for me. If the HOG pricing is really good, then I might go for one in DCBB/Green Linen, and see if it changes my mind.

It's fun watching all the expectant posts and wishful thinking about the LE numbers. I'll drink and watch. :D

No, you're not the only one. They don't do much for me either. I'll prolly sit this one out.

I wish I could re-feel the current handle offerings before I pulled the trigger. :(

#'s? I don't care. I've got 2 satins already. So anotehr satin ain't gonna do it for me - but trading one of mine for a LE at some point has some appeal.

I'd like 1 CG, possibly 2 if tehre's a snakeskin.

If I could FIND a SFNO, I could compare them and decide which one I should acquire more of. ;)

I'm up in the air about this knife as well. Most knives that are .25"+ in blade thickness just feel to clunky IMO and I always end up getting rid of them. Guess it depends how they are ground. I recently got a 6" traditional style tanto from Bill Siegle which has a full height chisel ground blade, made from .25" 5160. The overall length of this knife is roughly the same as a 3/16" SJTAC, yet it feels much lighter in hand. If by chance there is a version of the ASH-1 in 3/16" with a full height grind, I'll be all over it. You guys can keep the fatties!:p

they look mighty nice to me. mag handles to smooth out a bit.

Don't know about the thinner part, but all the pics show full height grind, even on the CG.

What do you guys like better?

I love the striaght handles on the old style Satin Jack. The only thing I would change about that knife though is maybe a thicker blade (from spine to blade edge). My favorite Busse's are the ones with 5-6" blades.

Guess I can just buy one and if it doesn't feel right, turn around and sell it. Or send it to Ban and have it turned into a "Anorexic" version.:D

i always found the ba3 handles a little small on the sj for hard use.
i really like the "sj" that last visible canary ground out of his nick.
that's my favorite "sj".
any you guys got that pic? josh you out there?

Is there a master list somewhere that lists all (or most) Busse knives with their dimensions?
