Hi General. sorry you're having problems. Currently emails are being caught up (we get hundreds per week).

SFO is the way to purchase clips. You'll have to let them know the model.

The problem with replacement clips is that many do not understand how to install them and end up ruining the knife by stripping out the screw holes. Then they send it back to us to replace. Be careful.

General: As you may know, I'm trying to get a couple of the same clips. Patti at SFO told me they are out and she will inform me when they come in.

I was not aware of that. I did try e-mailing customer support...again.

Who did you contact? Perhaps I will get a better result if I speak to a different person?

I still think the whole process is over complex! LOL! As a Spydienut I can accept it will get sorted sooner or later. Normal customers might not be so patient.

WOW! Just got this!

Thank you for your message & your interest in Spyderco products. We can send you one complimentary clip kit for the Military & one for the Endura & also the scale screws. Please e-mail to my attention with your name, entire mailing address, & a daytime phone number.

We do not sell the base for the 204 separately. You can also order online from our website. Thank you & have a great day.

Best Regards,
Susan

Hi General. If a company makes a product and sincerely tries to service it's customer (ELU) with the product, then certain "realities" must be observed, like it or not.

Annoying? yes. necessary? also yes.

That is how we will build our customer base. With that small group of ELUs that extends the effort to find the type of company embracing those values. Doing it with a goal of excellence in all areas.

The bottom of Spyderco's letterhead says; "Extending our best effort to conduct business in an honest, fair and proper manner".

my apologies for the sales pitch. Few ELUs get involved in the realities of the "company" philosophies and points of view. But...that's the core of a company and it's products.

Well, I guess it's my turn now. I called the SFO last Friday and left a message and then called again yesterday and left another message. No responses. Maybe I'm calling the wrong number or maybe the SFO is short-staffed?

I don't even know if the clips I'm looking for are available- Centofante Jr clip in black and also in the gray finish- but I would like to find out one way or the other.

Any suggestions?

I love Spyderco and the fantastic knives it makes. I respect you greatly Sal for the effort you put in it is well above and beyond what I ever expected. I am annoying at times, I am trying to sort that out. I can be a bit of a pain, so I hope I did not offend you. I am glad a busy company like Spyderco and its top man will take the time for the small guy. That is the mark of a superiour company, one that deserves the best in the world. Look after your customers and they will pay you back tenfold!

All the best!
