No Markings or Logos on Blades ?

I noticed that there does not appear to be any markings or designations etched on the blades of Sebenzas. Usually knives have things like the steel type etched on it (S30V , S35VN , etc.) and sometimes the town , state or country marked on it too. But all I can see on Sebenzas is "Idaho Made" on the titanium handle and the "CRK" insignia also on the handle.

Of course I am going by only what I've seen in pics online. I could be mistaken.

Chris doesn't like adding crap that doesn't need to be there. thats why we love them..

You're not mistaken. Actually, many would not even like to see the Idaho Made stamping!!! CRK stamps the blade steel type on the blade tang next to the pivot.

There's a "V" next to pivot hole for S35VN
There's a "S" next to pivot hole for S30V
BG-42 has no marking
Can't recall what ATS-34 has or doesn't have.

I hope that's not the only reason you love them. To the OP, the only thing added that's different from original Sebenzas is the 'Idaho Made' inscription. It used to just have the CRK logo on the non-lock side handle.

Actually , I like the clean no nonsense look of the Sebenza's blade. Less is more in my book. I'm all set with flash and show boat foolishness. I also like that some of the thumb studs come in different colors too. Just a tasteful knife that means business.

Lisa is correct. I believe there is also a "C" for classic blades as well for s30v. There were left overs they used for the 21 model, so "S" and "C" blades are basically the same...

Interesting. Also , is there any real difference between the 21 and the 25 ?

There are a few differences between those knives actually. On the 25 there is a different blade grind (very shallow hollow grind), thicker blade stock, the ceramic ball detent lock set up and a new stabalised washer system. Other than the obvious difference in shape, of course. :P

Add that there is no locating hole or lanyard hole (lanyard ties around the rear spacer), and double thumb studs are standard.

Indeed, the 25 is a great looking knife because of that but the "Sebenza hole" is/was sort of a trade mark for me. :D
