No more 555's from the Custom Build... Updated

I was just looking at the Custom Build program, thinking again about ordering another new Mini Grip, and noticed there is no longer a Sheepsfoot (555) blade option... Same is true for the full size Grips.

Anyone heard anything about that version no longer being offered ? I'm going to call and ask just to clarify before I order, if I do. Just thought maybe I missed some news somewhere along the line.

Oh but they left the Tanto blades! The Sheepsfoot was the best one of the three IMO.

I agree.... Just an FYI for anyone that reads this, I called BM today to ask about this and the nice lady I talked to said the machine that grinds all of the hollow ground blades died and they don't have an eta on it being repaired or replaced yet.
 
The last time I was playing around with Benchmade's custom knife program, the sheepsfoot blade option was back.
