They are not listed in 2011 catalog and when I called EKI about it they said they were out of production for now.

I guess I made the right move on one last year. It's currently getting a Ti framelock and Ti bolster/CF scale done.

That's very bad. I want one. I belived it is only for a while that is not in stock.

WTH !!! CQC11 it one of the bes Emerson's design !!!
Love mine, perfect blade shape, strong tip, mine came razor-sharp...

Were do you get this done?

There's a bunch of people who do those mods, but some have stopped doing them.

Some guys here have recently gotten Nathawut to do their mods. Most of the modders seem to be active on the Usual Suspect forums though.

Karg Knives/The Sun is working on mine. When its done, there'll be photos to go around.

IMO... The CQC-11 is Emersons best knife and blade shape. Ot fits the hand perfectly.

I wish there was a nonrecurve blade variant though. Kinda like a super SOFCK-A spearpoint. Well, there goes a future reblade project.

Sorry to bug you about this, but I figured some of the new Emerson guys (i.e. Me)would like to know. I for some reason I cant get on USN , but do you have a link to where to get the mods done?:D

The Sun's site. He's doing work on my knife.

There's a couple more knifemakers out there who also do mods. Some have stopped doing them though, either to pursue other projects or due to health reasons.

The last two framelock mods I saw were done by Reese Weiland and Nathawut. I believe Ferrrk isn't doing them anymore, though some of his modded knives are changing hands.

Jeff is not currently taking orders. He's has some serious health issues and won't be taking on any new orders until he completes the ones that he's been working on for awhile.

Phil (Ferrrk) takes on orders sparingly. All based on how hes feeling and how the chemo is treating him.

Bill Yester was offically retired, but I've seen some work by him in the last year. So he might be open for limited business? (His work is on par with Phil's!)

Nathawut has been turning out some wicked stuff! And he seems to be in full swing!

I've heard good things about Weiland, but I've also heard that he has a 2 year waiting list?

Fair enough. He might have already finished enough of the current batch that he feels able to take on new work. It was about a week and a half ago since I spoke with him. :)

bottom line.. everyone should have an Emerson. they're great. I admit, when you first look at the knife, and hear "tactical" you think... man, I'm prepared if anything happens. Well the truth is.... I am! The G10 on this knife has a real good feel to it. Now, I don't have a collection near as big as many of the members on this fine forum. But what I do buy are good quality knives that get put through their paces. That's why you forked over the cash...for these knives to be used but not abused.
