Evidently, Blade-Tech has ceased production on these. As the owner of two, I'm rather disappointed. Anyone know why?

Maybe because they were so darned expensive? That probably caused the low sales, because they were certainly well-built knives. I do think they were a bit overpriced.

Seems like every time I get around to buying a high end knife, it goes out of production! At least I'll be inclined to use it like it was meant to be used when I get one used.

For me it was a contest between the Rijbak and the Benchmade Shirmish.

I guess the Skirmish will now win by default.

I too am in the camp of "Way Overpriced" for the RIJBAK.

BT also discontinued the Mouse 2 with Carbon Fiber and S30V which I thought was priced high but seemed to sell. Who knows.

The Rijbak looked like a great knife---the first disappointment it gave me was that it was overpriced. The second disappointment it has given me would be that it was discontinued before it was available for good deals on the secondary market. :D
