Hi everyone! So like many of you I have been into the knife game for a long while. Buying, selling, trading, gifting hundreds of pieces. I could never find "the one". I wandered into multitools and settled on something that fit me. But I still needed that knife.
Well, one day i stumbled into this subforum and you all turned me onto the Beer and Sausage. A kind member of this sub helped me find one right when they released. I figured I would get it, not find it to my liking and then pass it onto a member of this sub that really wanted it. Well, I got it and it was my edc every single day since until a few weeks ago. Long story short, medical emergency, I woke up and some kind member of the medical staff decided to help themselves to my beloved GEC Beer & Sausage. I am bummed. Alive, but bummed.
I don't know traditionals much at all. I did discover they were a short release and that now the secondary price market is pretty high. So here I come asking, is there any such similar knife on the horizon? A not so shiny bolster, two or three implement having traditional with a combo of a knife, bottle cap lifter? Everything about the GEC was perfect. Size. Micarta. Blade, fork!, bottle opener, and beard comb? LOVED it. Its so hard to find a knife on time to get one. It seems like anytime I find something it sold out already, and usually in minutes. lol. Any tips on whats next that fits the bill and where I can grab one would be greatly appreciated.
