for a while the torque screws on the clip have been getting loose, and I've looked everywhere for a bit small enough to tighten them with no luck, Canadian tire, Reno, Home Depot etc etc.. even the shop I work at that relatively has any tool you can imagine didn't have one that small. well today while I was loading a 1000lbs vibrating plate into my truck to deliver, it came apart and fell right under the plate at the worst possible time. now my endura is all bent and ugly :mad:

ohhhh what to do now. this has been my edc for 2 years thanks to the advice of the fine people of this forum.

Well I'm calling for your sweet sound advice again, and asking you wheres the latest hype, which knife could I get for roughly 100$ or less, most important , quality and finish.

Home Depot, here in the states carries a nice torx kit, brand name "Husky." $5.97 USD. I have used that kit on my 2 Enduras.

The kershaw t tool works on most of my knives. I'll second what r.lynn said. Was your endura ffg? If not I'd suggest one.
Do you have pics of your bent and ugly endura?

Sorry for your loss. I'm from Québec to and I had the same problem with my endura too. Fortunately I found a Torx kit at Canadian Tire for 15$ aprox. Add some blue locktite and your ready to go. If your looking for a replacement I have some knives that might interest you. As for a new blade under 100$ I would say that the standard Endura and delica along with griptilan are the best.

If you liked the Endura, you'll love the Spyderco Pacific Salt, ruffly the same size as the Endura with H1 steel!

If you liked your Endura4, get another one. And, while you're waiting for it to arrive in the mail, take a trip to Home Depot and get one of these:

It has four double-ended torx bits (8 different sizes), and it'll fit the screws (clip and all others) on your new Endura4. I believe the clip uses T6, and the pivot is T9 (both which happen to be on opposite ends of the same bit). Three of the bits will store inside the handle. Costs about $6.00 (U.S.).

Sorry about your endura, look at it as an opportunity to try something new. Also, this thread is worthless without pics.

I liked this beter than the Husky at Lowes $6 and opens or adjusts every knife I owned. Can't go wrong with either one. Kobalt 8 in 1 :)

As far as Enduras I like the Endura 4 G-10 with skeletonized SS liners. I paid $94 but I see the price has soared on it. Maybe some better prices if you shop (I only looked at 1st page of results)

I don't believe you.I know for a fact if you were looking in the tools section next to the screwdriver ,you would of seen a set like this with an assortment of torx, hex, slotted and phillips bits.If what you want is just the bit,it's a T6.

Have you tried ,"The Source"

the new enduras in ffg can be found at less than 70$. maybe you can get a friend coming from the states to bring you one to get around the high shipping. check out Knife Center

Sorry about your knife!
Have you considered Kershaw?
I love Spydercos but the last 5 knives i've bought have been Kershaws.
Zing, Cyclone (plus 2 spares), Groove and a Chill.

And as far as that goes before i went on my Kershaw kick i edc'ed a Spyderco Tenacious. Great knife, great price! Also The Byrd line are great and inexpensive as well. The Cara Cara is the same size as the Endura and can be had in FRN or G10 handles for well under $50.
If you like thumbstud opening the Rat-1 folder is also an awesome knife for around $30!

Warriors an Wonders (Vancouver) has great prices and great service they sell Spyderco and Byrd knives , also for Kershaw there is a great ebay seller from Ontario that carries the Kershaw brand.
:)

You can upgrade to:

an Emerson Waved Endura 4

or

a FFG Purple Endura 4

or sidegrade to

Kershaw Limited Editin Titanium framelocked, SG2 bladed Junkyard Dog (either $89 blem or $unobtanium new), I did. It's almost exactly the same size as my Endura 4 Wave.

:)

Just don't do what some people do, and send it back to spyderco for warranty and repair and demand satisfaction!

If you can find a Military for 100$ go for it. Once you hold the military in a full grip you'll wonder why you crammed your hand into that Endura handle for so long. ;)

After a week of me carrying my military I picked up my Endura, and it felt so small. It was like my hand was being crammed into the handle to get a good fit. I honestly had to check the spec's of the Endura to make sure it didn't shrink.

Not the best Torx set ever, but mine seems to not-get-lost, while the others are always wandering off - the Benchmade BlueBox. It has two each of the three most-used Torx bit sizes for knives.

Excelent! +1!

I also reccomend the Husky torx tool from Home Depot. It's about $7.

You can get a new ffg Endura in vg 10 in 4 different colors from KW.

Ive seen nib Millies here for $105-110. Its a lot easier to keep clip screws

tight than buy a new knife.:D:

A great idea! Very very nice knife for the money.

I didn't think they made G10 Endura 4s without a FFG blade.
