I like this! My only DB cruiser so far. No name, but looks like a Kelly with spines inside the (small) eye and a small two character code ('RA') embossed on it. Can't see remains of any label. Who knows!
Head is 2-1/2 lbs and 8.5" across. Handle looks/fits like an original. Has what could be varnish (?) on handle. Smooth and fairly thick finish and that aged, sort of yellowish patina. Edge retains pretty much all the original profile, little wear or sharpening. Paint is worn more than anything else.

It's 27-5/8 from bottom of haft to top of head. Head is 3" wide in center.
Eye is about 3/4" x 2-3/8".

Here's a couple of pics so long as PB linking is still working for me.

Gunscrounger, to me that looks like a winner!

I only have a couple of the cruiser-sized but my favorite is like the one you have there. I sort of assume that they are the newer Kelly Woodslashers. Having an embossed logo doesn't make them work better or harder. PK mentioned the paint. The the "cut-ins" being pretty uniform up the cheeks?

The handle on mine has a piece of the palm swell missing that I shaped out and sanded down. I can tell which bit is forward by feel.

I'll get a picture of it (it's a little ugly). New sheath for it but that is to protect everything around it, not so much the axe itself.

You know we haven't had a "Cruiser" thread in a while...

It's in nice shape and tight as can be. Would like to know but don't really care if it's rare-ish or a major brand. It's well made and just cool! Not going to do anything to it except touch up the edge. Don't really need a cruiser (or another axe) but not needing something never seems to stop me from getting something I like. Call me irresponsible.
So ... another addition to the edged tool collection. Not the last for sure.

Looks like a real nice axe, the only thing I'd do to it is use some kleen strip or just scrape the varnish off with a sharp knife.
Not sure why, but on this particular axe the worn paint actually gives it a nice look.

I've seen that black paint pattern with the raised trapezoid on Woodslashers before.

That's a nice axe! Great condition on both the head and the haft. It's a real winner.

Here's that paint pattern but in black on a Woodslasher boys axe with part of the Woodslasher label intact.

I see the resemblance in the pattern. You may have something there. A shame there's no other markings but that's the way with old used stuff. I think Woodslasher is a good educated guess. As for the handle, the finish on it looks good that way it is, better in person actually. I'll leave it. I have and old Sager/Collins that apparently has the same or similar finish and I like the look. It feels food in the hand too.

well, i may have a Woodslasher double. it has no markings whatsoever. but does have the ridges in the eye.

The sheath is newer, the axe isn't. Being as it is in the bed of my truck, the sheath is there more to protect other stuff riding in there with it.
