I must have been arond 11 or 12 years old when my friend Chet showed me the leverlock his parents had given him. It was just too cool. My parents let me carry a Boy Scout knife, but a switchblade would have been out of the question. I did own switchblades when I got older that my parents never knew about.

I’ve been collecting stag handles knives for some time. One of the patterns that’s been missing is a leverlock. When I saw this one in the For Sale forum the time was right for me to fill that gap.

This is a very nicely made Italian piece. The stag is well matched, the action strong and fast, it’s clean and unused with no scuffs or scratches. I wonder what condition Chet and his knife are in.

I suppose I have to look for a stag handled stiletto now.

The knife looks like real quality and a fun one to operate. Congrats on another.

The photo, however, takes the prize. My hero!
