No news

3PM and no word on test results. I suppose this would drive most folks nuts but it does not bother me much. I adhere to the old adage that no news is good news. So, I postulate that if there were a life threatening situation -- like the kidney needs to go tomorrow -- or -- you need to get that aneurism repaired tomorrow -- I'd have heard.

But if the tumor on the kidney is self contained and not cancerous and the anuerism isn't going to blow out right away I don't have to do anything except monitor them on a regular basis, prehaps add a few more pills to my daily dose of stay alive meds, and wait for the next crisis.

Again, don't worry. I'm certainly not.

Thanks again all for such nice well wishes and useful prayers. In all, I'm a very lucky fellow.
 
I can learn alot from your positive attitude Uncle Bill. Happy things are status quo for now. Hope to see many more of your posts. :)
 
There's a story about a court jester who was always making terrible puns, and finally, the king tired of it and sentenced the jester to death by hanging.

As the noose was put around the jester's neck, a king's messenger galloped up, and said, "The king will pardon the jester IF he promises never to make another pun!!!"

The jester, smiling, couldn't help himself. He said, "Well, no noose is good news."


They hanged him.

Good to hear, Uncle Bill. Here's hoping that the reason they haven't called you is that they're still puzzling over how--for some odd reason--you've suddenly become completely healthy! :)
 
You're a light in the darkness Uncle, keep giving 'em hell, and don't mind us if we keep praying for a positive outcome. You know, someone once said "behind every great man stands a great woman". What sort of fool wrote that? Even a knucklehead like me knows that when times are darkest, the best of women ain't standing nowhere behind you, she's right there by your side. I think I agree with the no news is good news. The doc's don't seem to be real urgent with their findings. Still praying Uncle.:)
 
You will recall my telling a proctologist that I felt far more empathy for pedophiles than for physicians.

I stand by my previous statement.
