I just spoke with a dealer who stated that Spyderco will not be shipping out any new paramilitary 2 in s110v until after the first of the year. Seriously! ?

What other knife could possibly be more important to focus on at the factory? This thing has to be the hottest knife of the year and holding up production until after the first makes absolutely no sense.

I haven't heard anything to that effect, but I'm by no means an authority. However, they've come up on the Exchange quite frequently. The Para has been a hot commodity for a very long time. I'm sure Sal and company are aware and doing everything they can to maximize output.

I think its really important in situations like this that not everyone buying spyderco is interested in knives the way we are. A LOT of people have no interest in S110V because of sharpening issues.

I've had the new scales for my 110v PM2 sitting here for about 4 weeks, and I've spoken to Casey about getting a black deep carry clip for it. I'll be honest - if the M4 comes available before I get my 110v, I'll snatch the M4 & never look back. (I'm in for the jade G10 - no sense paying the extra bucks for the CF version since I'm going to change the scales, anyway.)

There are several new versions of the PM2 coming out 'soon'.

I remember last year around this time it was hard to even find the basic models in stock.

So it doesn't surprise me that supply is scarce.

Yep, I remember that drought.

And yeah, I'm actually not that excited for the S110V PM2, so I'm hoping it's offset so they can get in some waves of M4 production instead.

Or maybe loading up production on the S110V Manix 2 and Native 5's since they already churned out a wave of the PM2's

...not to mention, 2016 is right around the corner so just be patient. When those blurples stock back up in a month or two we'll probably look back at this thread and laugh. They'll be regular production so it's not like they are limited sprints.

^this. They have to be working on all the new sprints and full runs. You have to remember they don't just sell PM2's lol

That would be right if Spyderco had only a couple of knives in the catalog. Unfortunately, or rather, fortunately, that's not the case. Almost all knife companies produce knives in batches. That's just life with a hot product.

If you want the hot new Para2 you have to be quick. These were easy to get for a few weeks and now we wait again. It was no different with the S110V manixlw. If we are lucky they are working on some undisclosed sprint run for us like a Cruwear Para2. :) I have learned not to worry or complain much about the waiting.

They have popped up in stock at a few places recently. When I was in smkw a few weeks ago they had a few on the shelf. Bento were showing in stock last time I was on there. Also if you really want one keep an eye on the exchange, they pop up quite often it seems. Then if you REALLY want one the auction site has several thou at an inflated price currently.

I've been using mine for a lil over a month now and love it, still have yet to sharpen it. However I did sharpen my buddies and it was allot easier than I was expecting.

First off thanks for the pics, it'll help to hold me off for a little while. Second the bento box shop it's a little disappointing because they have it going for $200 which is about $50 more than what retails going to end up on these. I hate to say it but kind of seems like they're cashing in on the lack of supply. They did have some really good prices for the holidays however on other models, I don't need another translucent Manix 2, but they are going for $68 right now.

Yea but $200 is nothing compared to the auction site..those aholes are gouging up to $350. Also I picked one up at smkw in TN. For a friend while I was there and it was $179, but after taxes and stuff it came out to $200 as well.

I was lucky and got mine rather early after initial release off the exchange thru a trade of sorts. I'm loving this steel thou, it holds an edge forever, I've only had to strop it occasionally to maintain its razor edge. After a month of using it, it'll still slice phone book paper with ease.
