Notice how quiet it has been regarding the Perrin and Lum fixed blades? A long time ago we were just waiting on sheaths, at least for the Perrin and I thought Lum Tanto as well. Wonder where they are right now?

But no problem, Buck has brought out a neat strider fixed blade, and BK&T a nice 7 inch field knife to take up the money and space reserved for the tardy sydercos. And if I have any space or cash left over, Bob Dozier has a standing agreement to take care of it for me. :-)

They must be out because fixed Lum #003 is on a popular auction site!

It's not mine.

Beautiful knife. I have a few of Bob's handmade versions - some of my favorites. Hope Sal makes some kydex for these tantos.

Butt ugly sheath, looks like it was made for a set of shears. Whats with that shape. I must admit I kind of like the knife, but it would need a custom kydex or leather sheath. I would not be caught dead with the one that comes with it. Yuck. Guess ugly sheaths are the full employment act for sheath makers. But why do we have to pay for a ugly thing like that. Look at a Chris Reeves pouch sheath for crying out loud like he uses on the 5.5 inch blade mountaineer and get a clue. Or just a nice kydex like that of the Moran FB. For the record I dont care if Bob Lum sends a sheath like this with the custom. Its still dreadful. Also black is subtle for leather and much more attractive.

A slim, simple black pouch would have been my call. I'll probably have Mike Sastre make up a Concealex rig for mine, once I finally get one;)
