No pics, just a simple woods walk

Went yesterday morning to check out some trails my little brother cleared on my fathers property. He laid out some wide trails for his dirt bike. My father has about ten acres, three to four of which are woods. Probably a little younger than me, no old growth, in the almost thirty year life of the small lot, it has seen some blight, storms etc.

Anyway, it was good to get out on my fathers own property, follow the stream on his property, and get a little woodcraft in. Lots of deer trails, watched a doe hiding in a thicket, that got scared of my walking stick, and took off. My knees are not too good, as I learned traversing the stream, and ended up in the muck up to my knees.

All in all a good time, I am sorry I didn't get any pics, but I plan on getting some this weekend. Beautiful little floodplain, and I am very lucky my father has it on his property.

Oh yeah, knife content. I had my Spyderco Native, and my Gossman mini Kephart. My little bro had his own Native, and then mine after he lost his. Yep, he found his, it was snagged out of his pocket after he swung on a vine down the hill. I, thankfully, didn't try to swing on said vine...

Nice - it's always good to get out and about. Yesterday I was on my parents/sister's property riding about on the four wheeler checking out places to camp. I like this time of the year after the corn has come down and makes it easier to find camping spots. A lot of the properties around here are lined with farm fields of some form.

I've go to hear more about this scary walking stick.
