Hey guys!

I'm bored and playin with mah knaves! I think I mentioned this before, but now imma ask:

I have a 2010 7ABT that is most peculiar. It has no Serial number on it!

Getting really picky, the logo is a bit mushier, and little different from my 2012 7AS. One could read way into that, but it wouldn't help much to overthink it!

I know the logos have constantly changed, and I was also in engraving for years. A satin blade would be lasered an entirely different way than punching through an existing coating.

I'm not really worried. I have zero reason to think this is a fake, besides these small OCD things on the blade that are likely of no consequence. The handle is absolutely real. And the coating is definitely not some cheap paint. I took it to miles of cardboard to test it. Both it and the edge performed like the real thing!

I intimately know my Emersons by feel and this has all the signs you'd get in the real deal. But I recently saw on the site that ALL Emersons have SN's on them. I'm thinking that is referring to current production tho.

I have heard that some batches missed the number at points. Can anyone confirm that?

I am mostly just curious why there's no number on mine, not really concerned it's fake! If it is a fake, they duplicated EKI's exact machining process and materials to do it. The coating is solid, and all the parts and profiles are as they should be. Waterjet marks, thin/thick liners, old style less aggressive G-10 slabs, G-10 backspacer, familiar factory edge appearance, proper chisel finish, etc...

I've owned enough Emersons and seen enough fakes to be pretty confident!

Sorry no pics, not concerned enough to open that can of worms. Tho I admit I prolly should! I've been here long enough I have no excuses to not post pics lol. I just don't wanna learn how, and I hate the idea of setting up yet ANOTHER account to do it! I'll get there tho! Commitment. Ugg!

In the mean time, I just wanna know if anyone has a Black 7A (no wave) without a SN! If YOU feel like posting a pic, by all means do! I won't stop ya!
;)

Thx bunches for humoring me!

I know some older ones don't have serial #'s. You can see two Specwar's here, Officer's Match and mine... 2000 and 2001 mfg respectively with no #'s.

A 2010 with no serial number sounds odd though. I've never seen mfg year that high with no number, but I'm sure there are lots of things I haven't seen so anything's possible.
True - in fact since they are waveless, there is no patent number. And on these Specwars, no model designation either. Makes their markings the closest thing to a Custom.

I have a 2012 (I think) cqc7v woth a misprinted logo. It has a double stamped logo that is faded so you can’t read anything. It came new like that.
