If you were in a rush, and didn't have time to select your knife for the day (The horror!)
Slept in, and are late to work, appointment or maybe an emergency....
What do you grab without thinking?

Maybe because its laser-beam sharp
Or carries well
Or maybe is adjusted perfectly
Or tough and "battle proven"
Maybe its all 4.

For me, its my Native 5. Its by far my sharpest, and have spent ALOT of time fine tuning the screws to be perfect. I've also used it in a variety of situations so I know it can handle it all.

What knife do you just automatically grab?

Queen #26a. 3 blades that are usefully sharp, and varied for different tasks. Plus it carries really well, and is non threatening when I have to use it around sheeple.
 
I don't have to think, pretty mich any of the knives I buy would be fine, doesn't matter if it's a Spyderco Manix 2, a Kershaw Leek, a Cold Steel Voyager, an Ontario Utilitac 2, any of them would be fine for me.
 
I have a wife and 2 year old, so running late and rushing out the door is a daily occurrence. In my experience, I grab a PM2.
 
whatever is closest to me... if I don't fully trust a knife I won't keep it readily accessible. realistically it's just going to be what I had in/on my pockets the day before. I take my pants off, leave everything in them, fold them and put them on a stand. if I'm in a big rush I can just throw them back on, otherwise I just transfer everything from that pair to the next. it's always going to be a slipoint in one pocket, and another folder clipped to the opposite side.
 
SAK Wenger Model 16. I think I'd be ready for about anything that an EDC needs to be able to do...

550BW or the Sebenza I carried the day before.

My grip has been staying with my tool belt lately, so that will be at my disposal probably.

And my leather man rebar comes with me everywhere, from work to weddings to funerals. Occasionally I'll leave it behind for a trip to the store in my lazies but if a belt is not applicable I have a Max Micro ready to go for my bullet pen stylus pro and rebar.
