No well used "nice" knives?

I've searched around a bit before making a new thread, but I cannot seem to find people that actually use their nice knives. I bring this up because I got my first knife with carbon fiber the other day (Spyderco Navaja) and I'm curious as to how the carbon fiber will look after hard use and wear. I searched "well used" and in all of the threads peoples knives were generally in the <200$ range of "user" knives. I really want to see some nice expensive folders that have been carried, used, and worn. We've all seen some worn down Emersons and an occational Sebenza, but I have never seen a nice knife with carbon fiber that has been well used. I want to see some high end and well carried Spydercos and other >200$ well used folders.

The thing is, a lot of these higher end knives are finished well enough that a lot of wear doesn't really show unless you're really, really, beating them every single day. For example, the blade of the Rockstead is hard enough that it still looks brand new even though I've carried and used it every day for the last 2 months. I have enough knives that I cycle through that they share a lot of the wear, but the two that have seen the most and show the most wear are def the Dauntless and the Um. Even then, it's mostly wear on the titanium scales, titanium is pretty soft I guess :)

The washed finish on the Um's blade shows almost no wear until you hold it just right, then you can see all the scratches, same for the beadblasting on the TAD and Strider. DLC and other coatings are typically what show wear the quickest.

Unfortunately my only carbon fiber knife (all CF handle) doesn't see a lot of pocket time, I can't tell you how well it holds up longterm, but I can say that the CF on the TiLT I sold a while back scratched pretty easily :o

The first wear you'll probably notice on the Navaja is the bolsters scratching up.

Most of my knives are nice, Why would I buy a "mean" knife ? I think if tools are cared for the can go a long time with showing a lot of wear.

Ti military. No safe queens allowed in this house. :)
