Hey guys, I know it's an SY knife problem and not a SR but I can't find a SY section. So anyway, I ordered the Sykco 711 exactly 2 weeks ago, got an email confirming my order, and I haven't heard anything since. Is this normal, or what? I ordered it straight from the site so I doubt I was scammed. Any suggestions?

if it makes you feel any better my last purchase, a rodent 9, took 4 weeks from order to shipping notice. no communication in between. made to order basically. surely its normal.

This is normal with Busse-kin, you will get an order confirmation and then a shipment notice. Keep an eye on your CC and when you are charged you can expect a shipment notification.

Thanks guys. Would I get a notice if there was no money for them to charge when they decided too, ro would the order just cancel and I'd never hear word? Had that happen me with another company

Some have shipped, but I doubt all have. If you pay with PayPal, the charge happens when you place the order, but as others have noted, if you use a non-PP credit card option, they don't charge until your order ships. I'd email Renee if you're concerned (http://www.scrapyardknives.com/contact.htm).

well, the way its been for me is first the preauth goes to your acct when the order is placed. then that falls off in about 10 days. then when the blade is done the ding for the pos sale hits. no notification either. then a shipping email. have the money there without option or over draft will happen or maybe order cancels. never did that.

Yes it can, give renee a quick email, she's a sweat hart and will let you know what's going on. She's usually very quick to respond back.

Congrats the seven is fast becoming one of my fav.s

One thing you will learn from Busse/kin is waiting and why you don`t care about the wait. It takes a while sometimes and if you get worried just fire off an email and get a really nice one back telling you everything is fine ,we all do it and love every bit of it.

Just email Dan or Renee. They will take care of you. If you get addicted to Bussekin knives like the rest of us. You will learn the meaning of "two Weeks". :) Also there is a sy forum it it's just owned by sy and on a different site.

I wondered the same thing and Renee told me it would ship in 2-6 weeks. No problem with me, as long as I get it! ;) I'm too busy enjoying my Ratmandu right now anyway! :P

There is no worry on your wait. Once your order is confirmed you are good to go.
Renee is great at politely answering questions and I believe she would let you know if something was wrong at time of payment processing.
If it really bothers you, that you may have a payment issue, I suggest sending Renee an e-mail asking if you can pay w/ a USPS money order (before the knife ships).

I have received my 711 today. I have ordered that on 11th January 2012. I received the payment confirmation (payment via paypal) immediately. I have been informed on 29th January that the item had been sent and consequently I have been properly informed, when I asked, about the order details, shipment details, etc. Everything was O.K. as far as the customer care is concerned.

The important part is at the close - Renee's email. She should be able to give you an idea of order status and turn around time. I've ordered a bunch o'steel from SY/SR/Busse over time and they haven't lost one yet.

Skunk, even drunk, ships blindingly fast. ;)

If you've got any concerns at all, email Renee. They're good people... for Dogs. ;)
