...and it is not even here....

but for all you European IZULA lovers, maybe this will be of some interest for you. As we all know, the Izula sheath is not ideal when it comes to neck carry. So, this is what I will wear around my neck in the time to come:

I will take my own pics ASAP, but I think this is a beauty. I will continue try to make my own kydex sheathes as soon as I get the rivets and some more kydex, and this will be one of my guidelines...

Yes, that's true, and one of the main reasons to make (well, order) a new kydex sheath to replace the molded one. That one worked great in general, but it is a little bulky compared to this one. I will report about the difference when wearing it!

Dennis

Definitely looks like it would work better for neck carry. Makes it such a slim package.

Nice and cleanly done. I like those rivets I haven't seen any like that before.

Nice and simple. Whoever made it did a great job.
It would also be perfect to slip away in a back pocket.

Hey Dennis,

Will he make some more and ship them to the states? What was the price?

-Richard.

Maybe replace the paracord with a ball chain or something.

Yeah I definitely prefer ball chain to paracord. It seems like you could use something like a braided silver necklace or gold chain :barf: and no one would even suspect you're wearing a knife.

Hey, hoopster, don't know what you have on hand but put me down for a black Izula Kydex like you show here --

Looking to get sheath only. Let me know how to get $'s to you.

Thanks.

First of all, thank you very much for this thread Dennis.
I'm flattered.
Also thanks everyone for your comments.
I'm not even a sheathmaker, I love to make knives as a hobby.
Sheaths are fun to make though.

Sure I can make more and shipping to the States is no problem either.
I'll Email you about the price.

Hey Piet,
Those rivets look different than most, can you give us details or did you just do something to them. They just look like they are good quality and solid.

I bought them at www.brisa.fi in Finland.
You have to rivet them, using a snap-set.
Which means that the backside is flat.

What are the laws in Germany about concealed knives?

OT:
Concealed or not doesn't make any difference.
Anything fixed is allowed as long as it is below 12cm blade length, you can conceal them as long as you want.
Locking folders are not allowed when they are one-hand opened and vice versa. (as long as you don't have a "good reason" :D)
Ladybug = forbidden; Street Beat, MULE = allowed :jerkit:
Balisongs are weapons and forbidden to carry.

But BTT...

Dennis
