Nobody saw this one at the Blade Show (pic)

View

Here is the first Cobra - designed by me and made by Korth. I did not know it was ready until a couple days before the Blade Show and got pleasingly surprised when I received it, but noone else saw it at the Show because it was sold right after we set up our table...

Here are its specs:

Blade made of 440V stainless with a lenght of around 4 1/4", anodized 0.093" thick titanium liners (talk about a large slim titanium folder that will not "twist"!) and carbon fiber handles. This piece came with a multicolored titanium clip for tip down carry.

The idea is to produce it in two sizes, as well as in a fixed blade version in the future.
Let me know what you think about it, guys!

Awesome! That baby has fixed blade written all over it. For sure, it would make a great neck knife.

That semi-skinner profile caught me right away, too, Blues. Really looks like it's a knife that can be used - nice to see on such a modern platform.

I like it Ivan!

I really like this one Ivan. I am just about to email you, so you will have mail soon.

Hello
As a matter of fact, it was supposed to be slim and curvy like a snake (cabra is the genneric designation for any snake in Protuguese), and it has a much more agressive profile than Tim's project, not to mention it's size. but the similarities do exist in the blade shape, enough that I though about showing it to him so we could both compare - and I even mentioned it to the guy who bough it - but it sold too quickly and later I couldn't even think about it, so busy I was - you know that by the number of beers we drunk togheter, right, Elliott?
Mini is more of an upswept blade fighter, while Tim's is pure utility - that's it.

Hey Ivan!

Not to change the subject, but I did make it by your table to say hello (you was away for a bit) and I was able to check out the Brazilian Sorocabana you had with you.... What a great piece! I am very glad I was able to get in on that deal!

Hello

Regarding the Sorocabana, that nice piece you saw had been made by Ariovaldo, that aprenticed with the old maker for a few months. He is very talented and quick and I should post some more knives from him until next week, when he should deliver them to me.
About the Cobra folder, please e-mail me for the comercial information as I don't want to post this in this forum.

Last update on the Cobra:

Due to the number of people that e-mailed me interested in this knife, me and the makers decided to turn the Cobra into a limited edition of three sets of five pieces each: five large (pic), five small and five fixed blades (except for the first one sold, that is not numbered, and for a 0 numbered set, kept by myself). All have specific serial numbers and the finish will be the customer's choice, with anodized titanium 0.093" liners and 440V blade as the basic feature, and the handle scales will be the customer's choice.
Again, please e-mail me for the commercial information concerning this project.

It is a very nice looking folder. However the fixed blade version has already been produced. It is called Warrior Hobbit. By the way, there is a folder version too. The only difference is, it has teeth on the back of the blade.

Hello

The Hobbit family is a bit different from this design - their are beefier and have lots of different features (double edge with teeth on the back, a blunt pommel, finger grooves, a oval goard on the fixed blade model).
If it is supposed to be comapred with something, I think it would be closer to the Tim Wegner design, as Blues has pointed out, but with more radical lines, accentuated curves and another purpose, besides being much larger.
