I was about to buy an ATT prepaid phone card until I read the back. For in-state long distance, they charge 5 times the normal rate. I wanted to send a card to my Daughter , who doesnt have long distance service and lives in the same state.

I did a search and found the Nocard website. They claim the same rates for in-state and state-to-state. Does anyone have any experience with this company of have any others in mind that dont charge 5 to 8 times more for in-state?

Thanks,

Mark

As much as I hate MCI, the card is pretty good.
In state or continental US is 3.5 cents a min. (I have even used it to call you a few times ;).

Hello Mark,

A suggestion if I may. If you have a old or spare cell phone you can buy minutes on the sim card and I believe avoid long distance like most cell carriers. We have a "kid cell", a beatup Motorola Razr we keep loaded with minutes and give to our kids if they are going somewhere that it may be needed. No monthly cost just whatever you end up purchasing.

Grand Central owned now by Google is offering free numbers for folks to use, You can set up a local phone in any of 46 states with a lot of cities to choose from. Then you allow it to ring your phone in whatever state you live in. Say you have a child in College, set up a number in that city. Your child dials a local number from any land line and it will ring any number of numbers you set up, all at once. You can answer on any of them, they don't have to track you down. NO COST.

I have several invites left, be glad to send you one, just email me. and I will give out as many as I can. I set up about 10 local numbers in various cities where my customers live. They can dial that number and it rings my office phones. Saving me a ton of LD charges. One other thing, you can transfer the calls by hitting the star key while you are talking, that will start the other phones you set up ringing and then the call can be picked up on that phone. It never fails that when about to go into the office I get a call on my cell, I can hit the star key and pick up the call on the land line. The person on the other end never can tell that the call has even been transferred.

Free is better than 3.5, but not applicable to all situations.

James

Ps: One invite per email address, then you will get to give out ten invites of your own.
