Does anyone have any information on this maker? I've only found a limited amount so far. I found one of his knives in a box that I packed away probably 10-15 years ago. One of those knives I forgot I even had. I'll put up some photos of it when I get my camera back from the old lady, but I'm more interested in general info on the maker right now. I read somewhere that he no longer makes knives due to an injury.

Sorry if this belongs somewhere else. I don't know if his work is considered custom or not (but every knife I seen of his is s fixed blade) so I figured this was a good area to have someone point me in the right direction. Mods by all means move this if I've placed it in the wrong area. Thanks.

Let's move this over to "Custom & Handmade Knives". The folks over there know a lot about fixed blade knife makers. Hopefully someone can help out.

Wish I had an answer for you. Photos might help when you get hold of your camera.

The knife is 12 inch long with a 6-1/2" blade (5-1/2" main cutting edge and 2-1/2" sharpened backside and its just under one inch deep. The blade stock is a hair under 1/4 inch and must be some sort of stainless as it was forgotten about for about fifteen years and there isn't a speck of oxidation on it except for the guard which appears to be brass. The makers mark is 'Noel Wheeler PGH., PA.'
I found a couple other examples of his knives online but they all are more of a traditional style.
