I have these and they are great. While wearing them on an industrial mower, the mower noise is reduced to a low hum and the music is very clear.

Those aren't bad but i prefer anything from http://ultimateears.com/en-us/products/universal . I currently have both SuperFi 5vi's and MetroFi 220's and have had a set of SuperFi4's. The MetroFi's have alot more bass rich sound then the SuperFi's, which are a much cleaner more clinical sound.

And are you looking for "noise cancelling"- active, or "noise isolating"- passive? I don't believe buds will do for either one. I think you'll need in-ears (IEMs) or full size headphones. I like my Head Direct Re0s (passive) for $79. Head-fi.org is an excellent resource.
