Do any of you guys have any of these and, if so, what are your recommendations?

I have a set of Berringer DJ headphones that I got brand new for 25 bucks a few years ago. They aren't the greatest headphones but they hold up pretty well. So, for a cheapie set of them, they are pretty good.

(Even though most of my DJ friends use the Sony ones and swear by them as well)

The Bose are pretty expensive but, they are the best I have found. I have a friend that lives on airplanes and in airports and he loves his.

Don't have any direct experience -
but this might help -

Best Headphones, Noise Cancelling Headphones, Headphone Reviews
at ConsumerSearch

where they claim to be reviewing the reviews - ie: survey all the reviews out there and come to some concensus -
what we would do logically if we had the resources......

Even if one does not agree with their choices - it is still a very good resource as they also list and rate review sites......

A bud and I have Sennheiser's and really like them.

He has the in-ear version and I have the standards ones that were about $100 from Amazon. I like there stuff better than Bose since I feel that 50% of the money I give Bose goes to advertising.

I have Shure e4c headphones with the black washable foam earpieces, I might need to try the small earpieces, but otherwise Shure is great in sound quality and the in ear (IEM=in ear monitor) is designed for on stage use by musicians so it blocks out almost all noise. Active noise canceling is mostly unpopular with "audiophiles."

I have a pair of cheap old Creative Labs noise cancelling headphones, the over the ear type. They work well, I use them whenever I fly. The sound quality of the speaker could be better, but its good enough.

I listened to a pair of Bose noise cancelling headphones, didnt rate them any better than the Creative ones. I don't rate Bose personally.

I've read very good reviews of the sennheiser ones, never tried them though.

Sennheiser CX 300 when travelling on aircraft. Worth their weight in gold. Lightweight, comfortable, high quality sound from your iPod, and the noise reduction is outstanding.
I am a frequent flyer, and the cost of these is the best money I ever spent.

Hi!
I have an AKG K 440 NC (noise cancelling) and I am quite satisfied with it. I use it on the way to school and it makes outer noises almost unnoticeable. My friend has a Sennheiser PXC 300 so I could compare them, and I think the AKG performs better. The PXC has a better noise reduction but the AKG fits your ears better.

I fly several times a month. My Bose QuiteComfort 2's make air travel almost acceptable.

I connect them to my Ipod and can completely tune out the world. I won't fly without them. Worth every penny!

I have shure's I think its spelled. I love them. They dont cancel the noise, they simply block it out, like ear plugs. I have two pairs I like them so much. I'm not sure if were talking stricly about in-ear or over-ear types. I was hugely dissapointed with the Bose in-ears i got someone as a present.
