You can get acoustic panels if complaints start rolling in. They are a tad bit pricey though.Just single corro walls
Do folks in your neighborhood complain about people using lawnmowers and leaf blowers? Probably only if someone decides to do yardwork at, say, midnight.U guys recon I would get noise complaints about the hammering on anvil and grinding ?
magnets work pretty wellIf you have never tried it, place a magnet on the very tip of the horn of the anvil to quiet it. You can then get a ring magnet and those hang on the trip very nicely through all the pounding. Good luck.
I made kitchen knives and gave them to the neighbors .Now when they ask me what kind of noise is that, what are you doing in the shop ........I make knives ................ okay !Hi I live in the middle of a town and was wondering if I could set up a forge in my shed. You're probably OK if you do your forging during what most communities consider the acceptable hours to make noise, something like 8am- 9pm. I'd look up the noise ordinance in your area to see what the laws are.
