Does anyone know of an Ivory alternative that is not super brittle? I’ve tried the Masecraft supply stuff, and paper micarta. I also need to turn it on a lathe.

Thanks for the help,

I always liked the look of linen Micarta. I imagine it is tougher than paper. But I have no practical experience.

Elforyn super tusk?

Or maybe TuskTech?

The Elforyn Super Tusk I used recently was not brittle at all, it worked very easily for me.

I have some 1911 grip scales made from holly wood. Not sure anyone would ever mistake it for ivory, but it's white and seems to hold up well...

I've seen Corian used as a substitute for bone in many custom knives. It's typically used for kitchen counters, so it's plenty durable.
