I'm looking for some recommendations for a non Benchmade/Microtech/ bar lock flipper with the following features...

3.5" - 4" blade
Tanto or drop/ spearpoint
Magnacut, Cruwear, or M390 w/ a good heat treat
$250 - $400 price range
Something readily available

Any suggestions?

I'm going to assume by "bar lock" you're referring to "Axis" type locks? There are also button-locks I would think would fall into this category, which would definitely open up some options.

If you're just looking at Axis-type locks, I would definitely recommend the Hogue Ritter RSK. If anything - I really don't like Axis locks, but I love a good knife in spite of it. I have 4 or 5 Hogues - I can say they their sharpening protocol is top shelf...some of the best edges I've ever seen from factory. I hate their thumb-grinder thumb studs - but those can be replaced (like this one).

Not much choice for a bar (axis) lock flipper when you remove Benchmade and Microtech.
