I've always carried a SAK or Leatherman PST in addition to a locking folder. The SAK/PST tools we used but he blades weren't...that was why I had the Delica! Lately I find that I only carry the knife and have been using the blade for a lot of the stuff usually reserved for the SAK tools.
Opening beer bottles, prying, opening cans, scraping and punching holes. I like to "be prepared" by carring lots of gadgets but for the past few months have been relying on a blade as my goto tool. I know many frown on non-cutting tasks but it seems to be working ok.
Does anyone else do this and are the any other blade uses that push the definition of what a knife is supposed to do???
