So I got me a flint knife.
Pics later.
I got to thinking, back in the olden days, a flint knife was probably a prized possession, more appreciated and useful to it's owner than some of our most beautiful custom Damascus whatevers.
I mean folks probably survived for real because of their simple blades made from found items.
Just think! now you had the ability to cut some thing!
Not typical Hawaiian:
Tiger shark tooth mounted in Koa wood.
Usually the tooth is tied in.
My friends brother fools around making this kind of stuff.
Someone else I know makes daggers/letter openers out of marlin thingys.
Interesting to go back when cutting was a necessity, not frivolity!
What have you?
