Non-gold sellers

I have noticed a lot of simple -non-paying- members listing knives for sale in the past few weeks. Has anything changed or are the moderators not paying attention?
 
They are paying members who haven't realized they needed to update their membership in the User CP. The forum software won't allow anyone to start a thread in the For Sale forums without the proper membership.
 
Nope, there are basic members that are posting both in the WTS and WTB forums -one of them even admitted so in a post-. I think there must be a software glitch.
 
Well, it is not really their fault if the software allows them to post, right?
I remember when I was not a gold member I could not even access the WTB forum, but what is a new member supposed to do if he does not know all the rules...

The WTB forum is open to posting for everybody. Only gold members and up can read it, as only they can sell, but even registered users can post requests there as they're not selling anything.
 
First of all, I moved this to Service & Support.

Second, no, the moderators are not paying attention to every post every day. That's why we rely on members to report possible discrepancies.

Third, it really is their fault if they don't read the FAQ and learn the rules. If and when we do become aware of a rules violation, they can be warned or infracted after the fact.
