My father bought these Dhankuta knives from Dhankuta Kami
and sent it to me a couple of weeks ago.
The knives are nice and have one small
problem. The natural leather sheaths
shrunk when they arrived here.

Karda knows how to stretch the leather
so the knives fit into the sheaths. Contact
him and he will tell you how to stretch the
sheaths to fit the knives. It is a simple
procedure using water to stretch the sheath
hide. These sheaths are made from natural
leather .

Because I don't have the time or the skill
to fix the sheaths, contact Karda for the
details.

I am offering these knives at a reasonable
price for my valuable forumites.

A smorgasbord of nice knives today. # 3 is my favorite but not meant to be. I'm throwing out some chum to attract the sharks.

hmmmmm well my two (will be three as soon as I find a 20+ inch) chainpuri are getting mounted on a wall and my custom order m43 I am not expecting to get for another 3-4 months maybe longer I am going to grab one of these to play with while I patiently wait... ems #7

The sheaths really are nice ain't they? I think that's what drew me to # 3 more than anything. Lots of contrast.

They're good-looking and not as heavy as some chiruwas.
I imagine that Pala high-graded the best ones to send to Yangdu.

Wow, looks like a minor scale feeding frenzie. Fortunately for me #3 is already spoken for. That is the one that whispered to me, but my pocket book moaned louder and drowned out the siren song then I noticed I was safe, it was too late for that one anyways. So another day of waiting for my shark's teeth to grow back. Right now I could barely gum up some baby food with what teeth I have left LOL.

I recommend the soft cat food or dry with a little water and microwaved for 30 seconds or so.
It's not that bad. Really. Baby food is bloody expensive, of course cat food is more expensive that Top Ramen.

Too much information yet?

Hmmmmm, we got a sleeper in the crowd. Ok # 2, out with it, show yourself. We have ways of making you talk.

Those are phenomenal! I don't have any cash right now, but #6 looks like a humdinger of a hiking blade. Love it!

MMMmmm Ramen noodles. Love them. In fact that is exactly what I ate last night with some slices of roasted veggies and a bit of shredded chicken from one of those store bought things. And since hubby is getting in a quick half round of golf since the weather was so incredible, I am thinking another bowl might just be what the sore toothless gums ordered.

Meanwhile I am hoping Karda might be willing to provide the information about fixing these scabbards on the thread (or a new one if more appropriate) so that if I run into that problem with one of my current or future purchases I can resolve it?

Golf..........work of the devil right there. Only the devil could make a person whack a ball as hard as he can and then go look for it?

Pretty simple really.
I just follow the usual procedures for tight/loose scabbards.
I usually don't wet the scabbard unless necessary. If it is necessary, it is best not to oversaturate. Best to let dry slowly, so as not to shrink the scabbard further.
Usually I will try to wedge a piece of wood into the throat of the scabbard to open it a little.
I also would try wrapping it in a warm damp towel to see if it loosens up a bit.

Some of you in moister states may find the scabbard will loosen over time, I would wait and see.
