I'm a lawyer, so when I go to court (generally at least once a week) I can't carry a knife or any weapon. I hate to be without gadgets, though, and I'm thinking that a little keychain light and something like a prybaby would be nice little gadgets to have on the keychain. The prybaby can double as a bottle opener!

What do folks who cannot carry a knife every day carry in your pocket or on your keychain?

I have always like the little Swiss Tech pliers thing.

I used to have one until I lost it. I have been meaning to pick up another one.

Another vote for the Swiss-Tech, Micro-Tech 8 in 1. I have had the old 6 in 1 on my keychain for many, many years and really like it. Maybe a P-38 can opener if you can get away with it, just for another gadget. :)

I have one of Peter Atwood's mini-prybabies hooked to a CMG Ultra Infinity AA flachlight.

Shann, what you need is a BLADELESS SAK! This tiny model comes with a scissor, cap lifter/ flat head driver/ wire stripper, tweezer and ink pen. But no blade!

I carry my keys on a Streamlight Key-Mate It has a nice pocket clip for tidy key carry and the light is comparable in size and brightness to an arc AAA. Batteries last a long time. And it costs less than $12. My only recommendation is that if you get the black one the paint will wear off quick when attached to keys so I'd get the grey metallic colored one, which is the one I have. It has held up very well.

No, you need the Swiss Memory Flight without blade or scissors. It has
USB-Memory with 128 MB memory stick
Retractable ball point pen
LED mini light
Key ring

Lee Valley Hardware sells a tiny circular disc with a hole in it that works as a screwdriver, its quite cool although ive never used one:

They work quite well. I've been handing them out to friends and co-workers and they have gone over quite well.

QVC is selling that and a knife that looks like a key in a set, cheap, I think. I know I've seen them selling it though.

I just recently added a Prybaby in a Lifter sheath but haven't used it for anything yet. That, along with a traser Glow-Ring, Spy Capsule and Arc AAA are my non-knife keychain gadgets. A squirt S4 rounds out the keychain.

I've been meaning to start up a school EDC kit. The only thing I have in it is a Pulsar II. :( EDIT: Oh ya, I have a prybaby, but I'm not sure I can carry it in school. :(

Hey you think you could carry a Rescue Hook to court or school? I've seen one, it's a rescue hook, but it has a handle like a thrower and the "point" (where a point would be if it was a knife) was like a prybar thing. It looked kina like the Atwood; But Out Blade, but with the rescue hook.
