so am i right that many hogs enjoy good scotch?:)

does anyone know how long a bottle of blue label will keep/age?

What Crafft said. But I've never had any around long enough to worry about it...

mmmmmmm thats nice it means i can save it till the occasion warrants blue label. my concern was more with the cork drying out as i believe that is what is used as a stopper. to be honest i just left it in the case. it was given to me by my uncle who had it for 2 years and recently stopped drinking for awhile to aid in his exercise regiment.

thanks for the info.

That's like that. tootsie roll commercial. One .. Two!!! .... 3!!! The answer is 3

Nah... beer gives me gas. I know, someone else can have the beer and I'll have twice as much scotch :D

Blue Label goes bad IMMEDIATELY if not consumed. If you have already opened the bottle, and didn't drink it, it's bad. Send it my way for proper disposal. Also, if you opened the box with INFI, it has gone bad too, send it along as well.

Yes, it's quite true.

There may be some weird, mystical connection between steel and alcohol.

I have way too much of both. :D

Once you open a bottle of good whiskey, you shouldn't let it linger too long. Oxygen gets to the spirit and does bad things to the taste.

Absent opening them ... keep them cool and away from direct sunlight and they will last and last.

Now I'm thirsty.

What Old Physics said.
Once opened 2 things happen if left too long
1 oxydation of the amber liquid
2 evaporation of alcohol (angel share)

IF you MUST keep it once opened, you can find a gadget like that
vendor_vacuvin_concerto_wine_saver.jpg
will help in reducing oxydation, and keeping it cool will reduce evaporation.

Still, emjoy it when it is at its best.

I'm happy to report that none of my single malt has undergone oxidation or evaporation.

And ... now I'm tipsy. :)

LMAO ... .:D:D

Not many people around here admit to indulging in Chronic .. .

Prob. b/c there is a lot of law enforcement types that participate on the Busse forums...

No alcohol for me. Puffs of green suit me much better...

Now as far as drinks go .. I mainly love BEER !!!! , jager , top shelf Vodka , Absinthe ,

You're a better man than I am: If I tried that feat at home I would be rolling under the table long before completing the job :D:D:D:o

The secret: I only checked the ones that were already opened.

Otherwise ... well, it wouldn't be pretty.
