I had this sheath made - inspired by the quickdraw sheaths we see on kukris.

(showing my true colors...:D)

Reminds me of the old Chindit Dha sheaths, Nice work... Effieicnt design for easy quick draw..

How does it feel to use?

Dan, I like it a lot.

Question, though: do you think the stitching goes up high enough on the spine side to be really secure?

You can't even wrestle it loose.

Follow the stitching...there is a welt all the way around, including a little "bump" where the blade meets the handle....if you had x-ray glasses...the weld matches the blade exactly. Make sense?

You can turn this upside down and shake it...and the blade will not come out...it is "locked in place".

I think that it is a clean and elegant design. How does it feel when worn?
Do you think that the sheath would be more durable with a few brass rivets to protect the stitching and you at critical points.

Yes, I do. And I'm working with the leather guy to have him put some in.

The sheath feels great. It makes this otherwise huge knife feel easy to carry. It's more slender than a regular sheath.
