I own several CS knives in the FGX line with blades made from Grivory and Kray-Ex hilts. They are OK for what they are, but come with no sheaths. I'd like to make some Kydex sheaths to suit, but I'm worried about the heat.
If I put a FGX knife in a press with a couple slabs of hot Kydex, will the knife melt? Or deform? If blade or hilt can't take the heat, then Kydex is out.
Anyone with experience of forming Kydex around a CS FGX knife? Anyone with a broken FGX knife that is willing to perform suitable experiments and report back?
I emailed Cold Steel but their response simply stated they didn't have any sheaths for sale.
Thanks
