Non-metallic knives for female concealed carry

My girlfriend wants a knife but since she's a non-American, non-Kuwait living in Kuwait she needs to be careful carrying. I've offered her several quality tactical knives and have someone qualified to teach her how to use them. Again though she's hung up on concealment. She's asking about plastic knives disguised as the handle of hair brushes, etc. I know this is not the best solution but... I know I saw them in catalogs when I was Stateside, can anyone help me locate them online?

With the recent problems of Airport security, I don't think you are going to find much information. It's hard to tell who's a good guy and who is not and any information that may help someone to commit a crime, such as sneak a weapon onto a place past a metal detector, is best not to be discussed.

Thanks, I thought so too but decided to ask anyway. When I was last in the States that stuff was in catalogs all the time. Maybe that's why we got some buildings blowed up.

A female friend of mine just got back from Africa and the Middle East (flying there and back into several airports).

She said our (U.S.) airline and airport security is a joke compared to countries in that area of the world. She joked that after most of the pat downs she experienced her feelings were hurt because she did not get a kiss (meaning the searches were somewhat intimate and quite comprehensive). I would be very wary of carrying one of these while traveling anywhere where they would be illegal.

The hijackers managed to arm themselves illegally.

Maybe if the rest of us were "allowed" to carry weapons for self-defense, they wouldn't have gotten away with it.

actually te knives used on 9 11 were supposedly smaller than the 4 inch limit and legal, what we really need is for everyone to carry and just about anything allowed up to a poit of discomfort (eg some blades that are to long should be checked as they are a nusience about a cramped aircraft.)

As a frequent flier I always carried a tactical folder of some sort, non-serrated and always under the 4" limit. Now the law-abiding public is defenseless... I suppose I could use my Cross chrome pen...or better yet I wonder if my two-D cell Maglight would fit in my computer bag...
