Welcome.

I don't think it works like that. I mean, if the other guy has killed you, you don't get to come back and seek revenge.

Newt Livesay sells at least 1 non-metallic knife on his website, though he's off working for a couple more weeks before he'll answer/take orders, I understand.

Here is his URL:

Cold Steel has two options -- the CAT (Covert Action Tanto, I believe), and the Delta Dart. Both are made from some sort of glass-injected plastic ... I own one CAT & 3 Delta Darts.

The CAT doesn't seem to want to take anything resembling a decent edge, but the Darts are, well, just plain mean things. They are stabbing weapons, plain and simple, and a good bet when you're up against a metal detector.

I'll see what I can dig up for websites for ya.

SMKW has both of those on sell this month:
The large tanto is $3.99 ea or 6 or more at $2.99. The small dart is $1.99 ea or 6 or more at $1.49. Thats a pretty good deal if you ask me !!!!!!!!!

Here is one that Phillip and I offer. The knife is made of G-10. The kydex sheath is also non-metallic. The screws on the sheath are nylon. We made these for a friend to sell. He says that they have passed thru airport metal detectors without being detected.

IMHO, if you carry a knife like this and you get caught in the wrong place with it then you will probably be in a great deal of trouble. It can be a big risk. (Hey, you asked.)

Hmmmm...
I dont know the legal implications of running around with a deadly non-metallic weapon would be but I will ignore them anyway.

I had hoped that this thread would die a natural, unanswered death, but since it hasn't, perhaps one of the legal minds on the forum could answer this question in my mind. Once a person has declared his intent to violate the law, isn't any assistance you (aware of his intent) give him in this activity considered aiding and abetting??
