Well, I guess the topic pretty much says it all. I'm lookin' for info on non-metallic knives. I'd like to pick up a couple more, just for sh!ts and grins. (and no, I don't intend to smuggle them anywhere, I just enjoy owning toys and knicknacks that liberals and such don't think I should) So far I've gotten a couple of Executive letter openers, Delta darts, and Executive Ice scrapers, but I'd like to see what else is out there. I tend to recall having heard or read something about Newt Livesays and La Griffes, but haven't really found much else out. (I always suck at these internet searches) As always, any input is appreciated.

One thing to keep in mind is that there's a difference between non-magnetic and non-metallic. You can get metal knives that are non-magnetic.

Btw, I'm so far left that I make most liberals look like BladeForums Ollie North nuts, but I'm dead on at 100 yards and I can put a lethal edge on a library book.

I have an old "CIA Letter Opener"...AG Russel I believe made out of some type of reinforced plastic. Also...Mission Knives makes a few pieces out of titanium. Non-magnetic and rust proof.

Mad Dog makes a series of ceramics that, from all reports, are pretty good as far as ceramics go. They come in two versions: civilian, which have a metal strip, and noncivilian, which don't. Sale of the ones without strips are restricted but they are lawfully available to ordinary folk in most jurisdictions - so far.
Boker also makes some ceramics, and opinions vary, and several custom makers offer carbon fiber and composites that apparently don't hold an edge as well as the Mad Dogs, but I am only passing on second hand info because I don't have much experience with any of them.
The only real advantage I can see to these overall is how undetectable they are and the ceramics certainly are incredibly sharp and do hold an edge, but they bcan break or chip rather easily. I prefer talonite or stellite where corrosionj resistance is key. I don't mind sharpening my knife from time to time :)

I made a G-10 pushdagger.. feels good in the hand, kydex necksheath, zero metal. Made it for some cops who wouldn't believe a non-metallic thing could kill someone, considering the current events.

If you send me an E-mail , I'll send it to ya, have a nice pic.

On further reflection, there are numerous applications of ceramic, G10, carbon fibre plastic and other nonmetallic knives. My personal preference remains talonite or stellite where corrosion is a key consideration, however.
BTW. George Tichbourne now makes stellite knives too.
BBTW, The Livesay link is super!
