Non reversable clip?

I recently got a cqc7b plain edge and there were no holes to convert it to tip down (my personal preference). Is this how they are now or did I get an error?

That is how they are. Is yours waved? They are designed that way so the wave works properly. If it is'nt waved, you could drill and tap it yourself to make it tip down. Should'nt be too hard to do.
 
yep, ya could always swap it out for a BM, they are tip down, the 970(3.5") and 975 (3.8")series IIRC
