i just pur chased a non serated civillan does any one when they stopped making these . is this one that should be put away because it is collectable?? Thanks Brad

Brad:
I have a plain-edge Civilian in my collection, and the best advice I have for you is to keep it pristine, if possible. The new-condition plain-edges seem to be going up in price (when they can even be found).

I can only tell you that this model has been out of print for a few years that I'm aware of. Hopefully someone else can give you more specific info regarding this.

Take care,
Brian

Very few plain edge Civilians were made. Abut 25 per month until discontinued. Only customers seemed to be collectors and film companies that used them for film splitting.

(Perhaps Danelle can ask Susan how many were built?)

Brian's advice is probably wise as there are no plans to make more.
