I have cloth in my top drawer and I have some knives sitting in there. I just thought that it would be a good idea if I can lay down some left over non slip toolbox liner from sears instead of the cloth. Is this a bad idea? As far as holding moisture near the knives...it should be fine being its for tools.

Thanks for any help.

I store my knives in a tool box lined with drawer liner, once in a while it will leave marks on metal or titanium handled knives but it easily wipes off. So in my experience it works well.

Does the same thing to my tools.lol Thanks.

If you have any left over I hear they work pretty good for holding a stone in place. Though personally I use an old cloth top mouse pad for that.

That nonslip stuff is also good for backing kydex sheaths, to keep them in place. Especially iwb sheaths. If you line the inside of kydex belt clips it prevents them from traveling.
