Non SS Worker

Was a non SS Worker ever produced? I seem to remember a FRN handled one when I was first introduced to Spydies years ago, but I cannot find anything on it now.

No FRN Workers were ever produced. (unless there is a proto out there, but I doubt it)

The non-SS handled Workers were the TufRam-coated aluminum handled Workers from about 1995 or 1996 on.

The only other non SS handled Workers was last years Commemorative Worker with aluminum handles and Almite coating.

There were some runs of SS handles with kraton interframe inlays. (Still produced in Japan methinks).

Just saw a Worker in a store's display case that was all black, both blade and scales. Was this some sort of limited edition?

That was a black titanium-coated Worker. They were made in limited numbers.

I actually would buy a FRN handled worker, especially plain edge. I like the finer point for some uses.
