Hello everyone. I'm a new member and have enjoyed many of the posts on this forum. I just ordered a Opinel a few weeks ago and then stumbled upon the Nontron company. I'm fixated on getting one of their Tiny or Tiny Miniatures. I would just like to know if anyone has one of these and what you think of them. Are they just a gimmick or are they actually useful.

In advance thanks for any comments or help.

Don't know anything about the Nontrons but 4 or 5 years ago I bought a couple of Medallion Aristocrat miniature knives off ebay and was very impressed with the quality. The Seki-City made 2" (closed) lockback folder had extremely nice stag scales, a great fit and finish, and the blade is AUS-8 stainless. It's also available in white micarta and quince wood handles (The pic below doesn't do the knife justice but it is very close to the actual size)

They are beautiful gimmick.
I can vouch for the big Nontrons though - this is a knife that is made since more than 400 years in the village of Nontron (the early ones didn't have that Opinel-type lock), it truly has a rich history. I love mine a lot. If you are interested, I made a short review video that includes more background.

I guess the internet makes the world a very small place. Actually Dagon the video you just put the link up for is what I saw that made me want to buy a Nontron. And the reason I purchased my Opinel. So thanks to you for turning me to the knife hobby and by the way your videos on youtube are very well done. Thanks a lot.
