noob, first file knife

well after reading a ton i have finished my first file knife. i heated to non magnetic, cut rough shape, ground using a hand held belt sander on my garage floor. then went back heat again, quench, oven etc.
I have learned a cpl things on this one. my blade shrunk quite a bit due to the tip snapping off. i also need to better shape my scales before gluing.
the scales are made from oak flooring.
i will post a pic as soon as i figure out how.
